CHAPTER 6 – “The Holiday Spirit”
When Kaylin left Miko and Akira’s place Miko went to Akira and shared the good news that everything was patched up between Kaylin and her. Akira smiled and thanked Miko for finally telling Kaylin what was really going on and he thought from now on things would go a lot smoother between the three of them. It was perfect timing as Christmas was around the corner.
So both households prepared for the festivities but the advantage Kaylin had was she didn’t have to decorate her apartment as she was going over to Miko and Akira’s apartment for the Christmas celebration. Kaylin loved Christmas. She loved all holidays really. She figured any reason to celebrate the great things in life such as family and friends was a beautiful thing and she embraced it. It was even greater this year since she only had to worry about the gifts she was going to buy for her friends. Her family and her since she moved to the big city seemed to be even more distant than when she lived at home. As such she was very grateful to have the great friends she made in her new home and had people there for her and who she could be there for as well. Then finally it was Christmas morning and Kaylin headed over for the holiday party between the three friends. Darling was in a mood apparaently as Kaylin was told when she arrived so it was just the three of them.
So the three of them went on with the party, celebrating Christmas and each other and their friendship and had a great time. They sang carols and just enjoyed the day. It would have been nice for Darling to join them but she was going through those awkward teenage years.
